Outdoor Recreation Equipment Issue, open all year-round seven days a week, offers both winter and summer recreational items for a nominal fee. All reservations are made through this location as of April 10, 2017.  You can choose from items such as summer/winter fishing gear, dip nets, super cookers gas BBQs, table, chairs, picnic supplies, cross-country skis, snow shoes, propane heaters, backpacks, camping accessories, sleds, bikes, log splitters, snow blowers and ice skates, and much more. The center is open year-round seven days a week. Before renting boats and motors, people must take a boating safety course. For information call 907-552-2023.

Full payment is required at time of reservation, please only fill out downloaded forms AFTER payment is received via telephone, then send documents to our email to complete paperwork.  Reservations made in person at BLDG 7301 can fill out all required documents at that time.

Outdoor Recreation Center-Richardson

Bldg. 794 Davis Highway, JBER-Richardson (open for pickup and drop off only once reservation is made at Bldg. 7301)

Operates during the summer season (in Alaska that is May to September) seven days a week. This facility is the pick-up and drop off location for all lake, river and ocean boats, travel trailer (conventional and A-liners), and RV’s.

Boat Rentals: the installation rent boats and canoes, but boaters in Alaska must give special consideration to the water temperature, generally in the 40-degree range, and to the tides, which can have a difference of more than 20 feet. Anyone wanting to rent these boats must attend the boating safety course.
